As owner of Blind Insect Gallery, I’ve spent nine years building deep relationships across the art world and collaborating closely with artists to refine their concepts and curate cohesive bodies of work. As an art consultant, I help organizations and collectors develop thoughtful, mission‑driven collections—conducting research and studio visits, sourcing artists, advising on acquisitions, installation, conservation, and framing—so artworks meaningfully engage audiences while elevating artists’ careers.
"Bridging artists, audiences, and organizations—curating collections and shaping concepts so each work resonates and transforms spaces."

Our Two Latest Projects
Hillsboro Civic Center
February – October 2024
Collaborated with four teams on the remodeling of the 4th floor of the Hillsboro Civic Center. Each team was assigned a specific wall, and I provided guidance and assistance as they curated collections and designs that embodied the identity of distinct government offices. Rather than procuring works on their behalf, my role focused on facilitating presentation strategies and helping teams discover the best ways to showcase their ideas and collections.

The Art Walls project transformed the new 4th‑floor Community Development Department into a brighter, more engaging workspace by commissioning four rotating walls of artwork created by volunteer employee‑artists. City leadership supported the initiative with time for participation, a budget for materials and acquisitions, and funding for an art consultant.
Over nearly a year of weekly meetings and site visits, each team developed a concept tied to Hillsboro and the department’s work. Pepe Moscoso (Blind Insect Gallery) guided the artists—helping refine ideas, source photos and materials, produce fabrication plans, and oversee installation. Pepe’s mentorship, listening skills, and practical artistic solutions were instrumental to the project’s success. He brought the right mix of artist, critic, and manager, ensuring the artworks were conceptually strong and professionally realized. Highly recommended.

Providence Reed's Crossing Hospital
April 2021 – June 2022
Providence invited me to collaborate on a major project for Hillsboro Hospital — Reed’s Crossing, located in a vibrant Portland neighborhood with a large Latino community. The goal was to integrate a multicultural collection of artworks into the facility’s walls that honors the colors, identities, and stories of local immigrant communities alongside the scenic beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
Invited four artists—William Hernandez, Victor Vigil, Samantha Fisher, and myself—to contribute distinct perspectives and media representing the community’s history, vision, and diversity; together we created a visually compelling collection that celebrates the institution’s heritage while reflecting the multifaceted people it serves.
