I build cultural awareness by organizing conceptually rich exhibitions, public events, and educational programs. By bridging the gap between artists, universities, and cultural institutions, I design accessible experiences that foster dialogue and amplify underrepresented voices. My approach combines curatorial vision with strategic outreach to engage diverse audiences, strengthening community connections and enriching the local ecosystem through inclusive, high-impact events.
Creators shape their worlds, turn constraints into opportunities, and navigate the precarious, platform‑dependent landscape

BARRIO
Celebrating Community, Culture, and Connection
Born from a vision to reframe culture through the arts, BARRIO (Spanish for "neighborhood") began as a creative response to the challenges of 2020. What started as a concept evolved during the pandemic into a vibrant series of outdoor festivals that transformed the Blind Insect Gallery into a community-wide cultural hub.
A Global Experience on a Local Scale

Each BARRIO event is a multisensory journey. We bring the community together on the streets of the Alberta Arts District to experience:

-
Traditional Cuisine: Featuring guest chefs from around the world.
-
Live Performances: Music and dance that showcase global heritage.
-
Visual Arts: Local and multicultural artists sharing their unique perspectives.
-
Community Dialogue: Advancing equity and inclusion through shared stories.
Our Journey
Since 2020, we have hosted over 18 successful events, each attracting roughly 500 guests. These celebrations have featured the rich traditions of Peru, Pakistan, Russia, Spain, Mexico, Brazil, Cuba, Colombia, and more.
